Neopets...
KikoKikos are amphibious Neopets who resemble small floating spheres with wide eyes and flipper-like, clawed hands. All Kikos wear bandages on their heads and have a single curl of hair. As babies, they cannot leave the water for long periods of time, and they like to remain near it as adults. They can breathe equally well in water and air. Although their flipper-like hands appear weak, they can be used to propel the Kiko at high speeds while in water. Famous Kikos include:
• Niten Hiroru, the ninja.
• Cap'n Dread, the skeletal Kiko who destroyed the Neopian world of Maraqua.
• Kikos are also featured in the games Kiko Match II and Tubular Kiko Racing.
KoiFriendly, outgoing, inventive koi fish, or bass Koi (the name is both singular and plural) were the natives of the underwater city of Maraqua prior to its destruction. Their many inventions include the Utility Fish, described as 'a Petpet and a household helper rolled into one'. They were released on October 6, 2000. In the Neopets TCG, Koi are associated with the element of water. Famous Koi include:
• King Kelpbeard, ruler of the city of Maraqua during the Curse of Maraqua plot.
KorbatKorbats look like white free-tail bats with colored wings and ears, although certain special versions come in other colors. With small, pointed teeth, they look vaguely vampiric but are generally friendly. They are nocturnal and are usually inquisitive and mischievous. They have an impressive sense of smell and are happiest during a full moon. The Korbat was one of the original pets on the site. In the Neopets TCG, Korbats are associated with the element of darkness. Famous Korbats include:
• Koya, Korbat Huntress who stars as her own card in the Neopets Trading Card Game.
• Barallus from the game Cellblock.
• Lord Darigan, who was confirmed by the Neopets team to be a Korbat after several years of confusion among players as to whether he was a Korbat or not.
KougraThe Kougra looks like a small tiger, though its name comes from that of another large cat, the cougar. Kougras come from the Neopian World of Mystery Island, where they enjoy eating fruit, despite their carnivorous appearance. The stripes on their bodies serve to camouflage them in the wilderness, and they enjoy pouncing on moving objects - although they're never quite sure what to do with their prey once it's been caught. In the Neopets TCG, Kougras are associated with the element of fire. Famous Kougras include:
• Jake the Explorer, who got his face on the "Islandberry Crunch" cereal box, and his own card.
• Commander Gormos, a Kougra who had a paw in defeating Dr. Sloth.
KrawkResembling large caiman or crocodiles in appearance, most Krawks come from Krawk Island. Krawks are generally loyal but mischievous, and boast many sharp teeth, an acute sense of smell, and excellent vision. Krawks evolved from Tyrannian Petpets that were driven out of Tyrannia and onto an island in the sea. Krawks hate being reminded of their origins. In the Neopets TCG, Krawks are associated with the element of darkness. Famous Krawks include:
• Dorak, who features in the game Dubloon Disaster.
KyriiKyrii (the word serves as both singular and plural, though sometimes the Island Mystic says "Kyries") are weasels (which bear a strong resemblance to ferrets) but get along well with other species. Their origin is uncertain; they are said to have appeared in Neopia without any notice one day, where they immediately started to make friends. They love to explore, but get very uspet if their hair gets dirty. They resemble a squirrel, but with a head shape similar to a Bull Terrier's. In the Neopets TCG, Kyrii are associated with the element of fire. Famous Kyrii include:
• Jacques, Garin's friend from the Curse of Maraqua plot.
• The mysterious Kyrii Seer from the original Meridell plot.
• Capara the Cheat! player
• Prince Jazan from the Lost Desert Plot, who was both a villain in his cursed form and a hero. *Prince Jazan's father, the evil Razul, may be a Kyrii, but because of the fact that he is a fiery skeletal demon, this piece of information may be inaccurate.
• Tavi, who freed Baelia, a Grey Faerie, from a cage.
LennyThe Lenny is a bird-like Neopet, possibly based on a stork. There are also versions available that look like different bird species, such as peacocks, flamingos, and macaws. They are generally curious, clever, and intelligent. They can fly, but only for short distances. The Lenny was one of the original pets on the site. In the Neopets TCG, Lennies are associated with the element of air. Famous Lennies in Neopia include:
• The Lenny Conundrum Lenny, a red Lenny who runs the Weekly Challenging Conundrums on the Neopets site.
• Finneus, the archivist in Altador who is an elderly blue Lenny. He acts as as guide for players in the Altador Mini-Plot.
LupeThe Lupe looks like a wolf and its name probably comes from the Latin word lupus ("wolf"). Lupes make particularly loyal pets. They are known for their love of eating Chias. They are instinctually good at hunting and protecting friends. Some Neopet users believe Lupes and Gelerts are related. They were originally introduced on January 13, 2000. In the Neopets TCG, Lupes are associated with the element of Earth. Famous Lupes include:
• The assassinated King Coltzan III of the Lost Desert.
• Jeran, a knight of the Neopian world of Meridell.
• The Ghost Lupe, a so-called "evil" Neopian who may heal your pets in a random event.
• Captain Scarblade, the pirate from the Curse of Maraqua storyline.
• Balthazar the Bounty Hunter, an evil faerie hunter who is a prominent member of the Gallery of Evil.
• Tormund, a knight-in-training who is one of the stars in the Neopets: The Darkest Faerie video game.
• King Altador, one of the twelve protectors of Altador.
• Tomos, the Desert Scarab from the "Lost Desert" storyline.
• Garon, from the old Ice Caves game and Faerie Caves.
• The player-controlled character in the first NeoQuest game.
LutariThe Lutari was released on April 18, 2006, and the name Lutari is similar to the Latin genus name for otters which is Lutra, which it somewhat resembles. Lutari Island is not assured or confirmed yet but expected to be a June plot. There has also been pictures of a Lutari Island paintbrush, but no confirmed pet images. The pets were made available for a short time on Lutari Day but the Lab Ray is the only confirmed way to get a Lutari now. If Lutaris are placed in the pound, they will dissapear. There have also been Editorial questions concerning the abondonment of Lutaris. Famous Lutaris include:
• " Mr. Chipper, the Ice Cream Vendor on Terror Mountain who has been on the site since before the Lutaris were released.
MoehogThe Moehog looks something like a warthog. Moehogs originally came from the mountainous parts of Neopia, where they carried objects for lazy Skeiths. After a while, however, they began to set up their own communities elsewhere, but they remain eager to help. Young Moehogs generally enjoy snorting up dust clouds and making noise. They were introduced on July 5, 2000 and later redesigned to a far more modern look. In the Neopets TCG, Moehogs are associated with the element of Darkness. Famous Moehogs include:
• Judge Hog, Leader of the Defenders of Neopia.
• Agent 00 Hog from the game "Cheat!".
• The Bringer of Night from the Hannah and the Ice Caves plot.
• Morguss, who fought with Lord Kass in the Battle for Meridell and has thus has a place in the Gallery of Evil.
• The band Moehawk
